So BYU broke the world record for the World's Largest Water Balloon Fight.
Statistics:
- 120,000 balloons
- About 4,000 Participants (I can't quite remember the actual number)
- 2 STRAIGHT days of filling balloons
- -6 minutes to destroy every last balloon.
Now this would be just awesome if I only participated. But no, the BYU AdLab wanted to shoot a music video for Kyle Andrews song 'Smile' so we needed balloons. I worked from 9am to 11pm on Wednesday, then 1.5 hours in the morning on Thursday and from 2:00pm Thursday - 6:30am Friday. This was so very intense. My wrists killed from the motion of tying these blasted balloons.
You'd think it would be a nice little treat to be in the fight. Lies. The volunteers stood in the middle of the two teams to try to keep each side tethered in. This resulted in being in the middle of the warfare. It was the redzone and we were straight and easy targets. We got pelted left and right by avid balloon throwers. It totally hurt.
In spite of the pain the AdLab endured it was fun, and we got some awesome footage and a once in a lifetime* experience.

*I stress "once in a lifetime" because I will never be filling water balloons ever again.
