When we get out of the Nice train station the very first thing we see is "Sex Shop". Welcome to France. After feeling right at home in France we venture to our Hostel, Chez Patrick. Enter Patrick.
P: Bonjour!
We: Bonjour!
P: You have reservation, non?
We: Of course, it's under (dadada).
P: Ah oui! Zair it is!! Your total is $$.
We: Alright, we're splitting it so yeah, here it is, but we need change.
P: Oui, oui. Let me count ze change.
{{waiting for a good 4 minutes}}
We: I think it's $$.
P: Oui, but let me count.
{{wait for an additional 4 minutes}}
We: Hmm, yeah it's $$ in change. Okay, yeah there's the rest. Thanks.
Patrick couldn't count. Clearly. But the rooms were nice and Nice was wonderful.
Yet the beaches are covered in rocks. The rocks killed since we didn't have real towels only itty-bitty ones. There is one sandy beach. You have to pay to go there. So we put up with the rocks.
Before the beach we went to MONOPRIX. Monoprix is full of fun surprises. Even though it smells strongly of fish, dead fish, it was loads of fun. We purchased loads of stuff and had a lovely picnic on the rocks at the beach.

This is end of mainstreet Nice. On the left was the party lane.
So there is a live band and the entire bar is packed but we dance and party for the next couple hours. While in there Liz is stalked by a 45 year Greek guy complete with long ponytail and flowy white shirt. He called her his "baby". That was our cue to leave.
Once leaving the bar we went to a bar closer to mainstreet and got cokes and drank them on the tables outside. It was so nice. We made acquaintance with the barmen and the old men sitting at the bar.
Mainstreet Nice has twinkle lights!!!
