Recently, while ordering a school book on Amazon, I was encouraged by Amazon to purchase Mini Shopaholic (the only Sophie Kinsella book I was yet to own). So I did, for $8 plus shipping.
When I received the package I ripped it open and was surprised to find it was hard cover! But what I was even more surprised about was the fact that it was bound in plastic... and had a library sticker on it.
As you can see, it would appear I have been sold a stolen library book. It has all the signs of a library book. So I'm not entirely sure if it was purchased at a library sale and then sold to me, or just stolen and resold. Considering this came out within the last 8 months, I couldn't see the library selling it to trade in for a newer copy. Sooooo all things considered, I was sold a stolen library book. How sad for those little library goers.
