What I've Learned in College.

At this point in my life, I have been in college for four years... and I'm not done. I graduate in April and sometimes I think, "wow - have I even learned anything??". That is when I remember these things:

  • When I came to BYU I was not touchy at all. In fact, when someone I wasn't extremely comfortable with hugged me, I felt wayy awkward. Now, I give out hugs like it's going out of style.
  • I learned that staying on campus till 6:30am can make you fall asleep while eating breakfast and cause your bowl to dump onto your lap.
  • Life will never be less busy than it is at this point. You just get lazier.
  • You never study in periodicals if you want to actually get something done.
  • Making friends with meal plans is good to both your bank account and your belly.
  • If you take yourself too seriously, people don't like you.
  • Parties in underground parking garages are a bad idea.
  • Linoleum makes for a great buffer when cutting foam core and balsa wood.
  • I know how to bondo a car.
  • If someone asks you out with a note in the library, wait 10 minutes, and someone will ask you out an even stranger way.
  • Never purchase your textbooks from the bookstore.
  • If your house reeks of gas you should probably get out because your house is hours away from blowing up.
  • There are some professors that only profess, then there are the teachers - those are the ones you want to take classes from.
  • Even though most of world doesn't, I like rococo style art and architecture.
  • You can get by without a car, even if you love cars more than most of the individuals who own them.
  • The resource you need is always there; if you look for it.
  • Christmas trees can be decorated with anything.

Yep. That's all I learned. Completely inclusive.
