So two weekends ago I decided to go down to Ohio to visit Bethany and Staci. I was way stoked. So I'm cruising down the Ohio turnpike and suddenly the check engine light comes on a starts blinking. The car starts shaking and I start freaking. I call my dad once I get to the next service station and we call the mechanic and he said I should try to get to the place I need to be. So I attempt it by getting on the turnpike. But as I start speeding up - the car won't move. It's going 30 and won't speed up. I could feel the engine messing itself up when I was pushing the accelerator so I pulled over on the side of the freeway and stopped.
I call AAA and they send someone out to me, 45 minutes later. It was just loads of fun waiting for the tow truck to come. And since we're like a good half an hour from Sandusky I get the enjoyment of sitting in the tow cab for that time making small talk with the guy who put my car on the truck.
"Yeah, so I bet this happens all the time - people getting stranded, huh?"
"Yep."
"Good money for you though."
"Yep."
"Hm, okay."
So that was Such a blastorama!
Oh well, I get to sandusky, my car is dropped off at a goodyear tire place fixer upper store. I run next door and book a room at the fabulous Days Inn. That night was the best night everrrrr.
So the next morning at 7:30 I run over to the goodyear service station thingy I say "Hey! Fix my car, it's right there, blahdy blah". They say "Okay! We'll get to it, but our diagnostics guy doesn't come in until 9:00". So I wait.
Then he comes in and says "we have to go pick up a part in another city". They pick it up and get back at 11. Realize they have to go to another different city and get another part. It's now 1:30. I've been sitting at the car place lobby watching TNT for like 5.5 hours now, I JUST LOVE IT, of course. So I go out into the garage and say "Are you going to put my engine back together?" They say "Oh yeah, we're just waiting for someone to get back from lunch". Apparently that guy got back and by 2:30 I'm finally ready to go. HALLELUJAH.
A bajillion hours at that place and now I'm done. Then I drove to Copley, saw Bethany and Staci and was suddenly happy again. Yahoo!
